“Lyrical Geniuses of Alternative Rock”

Music has that tranquil, and unique ability to transport space and time, don't you agree? I found myself taken by that statement, recently, only a few nights ago, to be exact.

While I was in a deep state of thought, coming up with the answers, to the post apocalyptic shit economy, My playlist decides it wants to play the right song, at the right time, for the right memory.

Of course, this was all after burning, a succulent and rather delicious after dinner mint. Yes, A bowl, of some fine, fresh ground, sticky icky. Nostalgic AF, right?!

Inside out by “Eve 6” started to overscape the sound waves, and immediately sparked my Youth! I was embarrassed for a quick minute, I used to love this band, they kick FCKN ASS!! And I didn't have them on any playlists, Not for at least, the past decade.

That was my High School era, how did I forget this band? (refer to sticky icky) and quick note on adding the Nostalgia felt, during that moment. (The Nostalgia has been happening a lot, the last weeks, seemingly).

So obviously, I wasn’t surprised, to have the flood of emotions taking the re-residence of my youth back. I just got worm holed, Rick rolled and the passing of my time, re told. (refer back to sticky icky). I was seeing 1996 all over again, I could hear it, I could see it, and I could communicate in this ripple, between the fabric of time and space, it literally felt like I was starring in the movie “Butterfly Effect”. (great movie)

It wasn't just the one song either, it was the next one, and then another, and for the first time in years, I remembered that girl, that time in class, and that school rivalry in grade 11. It was those kinds of moments flooding my cerebral, ya know? All these Sublime memories came rushing back, while re living this band’s sound.

In the late 1990s, Eve 6 exploded onto the alternative rock scene with their infectious melodies, heartfelt poetry, and introspective lyrics. The band’s frontman, Max Collins, was a lyrical FKN genius. The way he infused his music with such raw emotion, I compare that heart, put into that, of a Corey Taylor (Slipknot) and impacts their message more.

The music videos were no exception to that rule, either. With the rich symbolism, and thought-provoking back lays, that only added to the artistry. It’s impossible to deny the band’s influence on an entire generation of music prodigies.

The combination of catchy pop hooks and grungy guitar riffs made their sound both edgy and radio-friendly, during that time, Songs like “Inside Out,” “Here’s to the Night,” and “Promise” became anthems for so many people. Striking a chord with relatable themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

The original band's 3 founding members, Max Collins, Jon Siebels, and Ben Hilzinger. Hail from Southern California. Eve 6 was formed in 1994, and has their influential signature on bands like blink 182/ Green Day/ Incubus/ Simple Plan/Seether.

They were a fusion band, or rather a de- fusion band, because reality says a lot of genre sounds, came from their unique style, as did they, to their predecessors, before them, and That there is the theory of Quantum musical composition kids. (not source) :) Seriously, though, I do recommend putting on an album by Eve6.
